Blood & Fire

Updated: Dec 13, 2025

Your tattoos hold experience

skin etched with blood and fire.

You seem like you were built from stone,

a fortress born out of desire.

and I think of you more than I should,

like songs not learned but understood.

You’re the phantom in a quiet room,

an ache, a fragment of the truth.

I think of you more than I should.

I wonder how my designs would fit

with your body made of hardened lines.

My curves would aim to soften you,

but end up caught in your confines.

You keep your cages close to heart,

lock every door and bar the view.

My flights of fancy never last,

and always seem to land on you.

and I think of you more than I should,

like songs not learned but understood.

You’re the shadow on the kitchen floor,

the reason to keep wanting more.

I think of you more than I should.

and I think of you more than I should,

like a song I never learned but understood.

I still think of you more than I should.
