Kaleidoscope

This piece isn't really born from original poetry, I wrote it just for Lyrics. Working towards making this one music.

Those straight lines and steady hands

holding concrete, building frames

You trust the blueprints that they gave you,

and play along with all their games.

I’m a kaleidoscope in your hands,

Turn me once—I don’t align.

Turn me twice—I almost fit,

you want answers, I want why.

Every color rearranging,

Every truth you can’t command.

If you need the picture frozen,

Let me fall back into sand.

I’m broken glass and spinning light

shards in structure, held in form,

I change with every turning season,

from your desires I'm reborn.

bring the sand and bring the flame

Make the glass and sing my name

Yeah,

bring the sand and bring the flame

break the glass and sing my name

I’m a kaleidoscope in your hands,

Turn me once—I don’t align.

Turn me twice—I almost fit,

But you want answers, I want why.

Every color rearranging,

Every truth you can’t command.

If you need the picture frozen,

Let me fall back into sand.

Put your ear against my heartbeat,

Hear the ocean in the sound.

I was never built for structure,

I was formed just to be found.

I am a kaleidoscope my friend,

Break me open, flood the light.

Every shift is revelation,

Every turn a new delight.

I am a kaleidoscope my friend,

Break me open, flood the light.

Every shard is divination,

Every turn a new delight.

bring the sand and bring the flame

Make the glass and sing my name

Yeah,

bring the sand and bring the flame

break the glass and sing my name
