Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 6:03AM Wow, my last entry was in April... obviously I have been doing other writing. My dream journal is not forsaken however - as I do have a small dream to post.
I had a violent tornado dream.
I was in a highrise with my ex-boyfriend (now friend). We were very high up, in a city, in a downtown core. I want to say it was a condo complex in Toronto or something similar. There were glass walls on two sides of the unit as we were on the corner. I looked out one side - there was a similar condo just across the way. I looked to the right and saw a storm moving in - but the clouds were swirling. There were dark clouds even more to the right.. I couldn't tell if it was rain coming down or if cloud was coming down the air was so thick. I ran to the other side of the condo where the glass was, but the cloud seemed to elude me as to what it was doing. I ran back to the original side, and with horror suddenly saw a massive twister heading straight for our building. Anthony was in the middle of the room, in a bed, sleeping. I screamed at him to wake up - I was going into the bathroom, where there were no windows, to dive into the bathtub for protection. He would not wake. I screamed and screamed but he did not budge. I had no time to grab him so I dived into the tub to save myself. Glass and debris began to fly around me - but the whole thing happened very quickly. It seemed as though as soon as it started it was over. I had been spared in the tub.
I went out of the bathroom.. the glass was gone, all blown out. I called out for Anthony. He was still in the middle of the room, but the sheets were gone, and instead he was screaming, trying to sit up, with glass embedded in his body all over. He had pulled two large pieces from his chest, large gashes were left behind. I told him not to move and tried to apply tourniquets to his body where the cuts were very bad.
I saw the condo across the street was blown out and damaged as well. I knew, that no help could come but by chopper, as the structure of the building was unsound and we could not go. I thought that I was stuck there for a while, waiting, and that Anthony could very well die.
And then my alarm went off.
